THE PELICAN FILM FUND:

The Pelican Film Fund is a Louisiana-based film tax credit fund operating since 2005 primarily in Baton Rouge, Lafayette and the capital area region. The Fund is the single largest film funding commitment to Louisiana since the tax credits were initiated in 2002. The Fund provides production tax credit advances to projects which are otherwise 100% funded. For greater tax credits, the Fund also offers tax credit sales and pre-sales paid upon completion of the tax credit audit during production and after wrap, upon receiving final state tax credit certification.

PRODUCTIONS THAT CAN APPLY:

Productions or infrastructure projects that qualify for Louisiana state tax credit certification may also be eligible to apply to the Pelican Film Fund. This includes feature films, television productions (MFTVM, Series, Pilot Mini-Series, Documentary, Commercial), certain music and game development activities, Louisiana Broadway live production or infrastructure, and state-of-the-art production and post production infrastructure projects. Production of live sporting events and news are excluded.

HOW TO APPLY:

a.       Download and complete the Preliminary Application.

b.       After consultation with outside counsel, submit the Application with requested materials to info@entlawla.com or to P.O. Box 3929, Baton Rouge, LA 70821-3929.

c.       If the production meets the preliminary requirements and the Fund would like to consider it further, the Fund will contact the applicant.  If the production does not qualify, the production is deemed rejected without further notice, all materials become the property of Pelican Film Fund and shall not be returned for any reason.

d.   All applications are subject to all Pelican Film Fund requirements, proof of applicant production funds, and full execution of all legal and other agreements relating to the application.
