Art & Entertainment Law Group of LeBlanc & Associates, PLC is a
Louisiana full-service entertainment law firm that provides
business and legal affairs and production counsel services,
facilitates tax credit pre-sales, and structures soft-dollar
film financing through tax credits and other incentives of the
Louisiana Motion Picture Incentive Act.
The Firm's practice includes primarily film, television,
Louisiana film certifications, and tax credit maximization.
Clients include studios, networks, independent production
companies and filmmakers. The Firm's One Stop Producer Shop™
offers outsourced Louisiana Business & Legal Affairs providing
the benefits of an in-house department plus all the legal
services in Louisiana, a Civil Law State, but without the
employee cost.
Louisiana Tax Credits:
The Firm represents clients during any or all phases of a film or
television project, from the initial legal company and financial
structure to state pre-certification to final certification for
Louisiana Motion Picture Incentive Act tax credits. Don’t leave
money on the table by using unnecessary middleman or
tax credit
brokers. AELGLA facilitates tax credit sales and transfers and
assists in tax credit monetization transactional work, allowing
producers to keep lucrative tax credit broker commissions.
Current
state law provides production tax credits of up to 15% on actual
investment (i.e., budget) for certain previously certified
productions, or up to 25% on base investment (i.e., Louisiana
spend) of state-certified productions, plus relevant employment
credits on Louisiana resident payroll. All tax credits are
subject to state review of production accounting, audit and
legal and financial documentation.
Legislative Incentives Consulting Services:
AELGLA provides consulting services on research, structure,
implementation and marketing of film and television tax credits
and other production incentives. AELGLA has been contacted
relative to production incentives in several U.S. states and
foreign countries. AELGLA works with officials in the public
sector, on a local, parish/county and state level, as well as
quasi-governmental agencies such as chambers of commerce,
economic development departments and film commissions. The firm
